Storage, which matters more up here
On older phones the gap between 128GB and 256GB is small. On a Pro Max the gap between 256GB and 1TB is real money, because the people buying second-hand Pro Max phones are usually buying them to shoot video on.
Whether it lived in a case
Titanium and aluminium both scuff, and the 17 Pro's finish shows handling more than people expect. A phone that has been in a case since day one and still has film on the camera plate is worth noticeably more than the same phone bare.
Battery health, even at this age
A year-old phone should be sitting comfortably above 90%. If yours is not, that says something about how hard it has been charged, and buyers price it accordingly. Check the number rather than assuming it.
