Sell the Apple Watch you stopped wearing in March.

Series, Ultra or SE. Any generation, any size, any state of strap. A real number in about a minute.

The Apple Watch has the shortest gap of any Apple product between being worn daily and living in a drawer. Usually it is the strap that goes first, or a fitness habit that quietly ends, and then it sits there uncharged for a year while its value drains away.

The good news is that the Ultra models hold their value remarkably well. They are expensive new, they are genuinely durable, and the people buying them used are buying them to actually use, which supports the price in a way that fashion-driven demand does not.

The less good news is that older aluminium Series watches with a degraded battery are among the least valuable things Apple makes. We will still quote you, and the number will be honest rather than flattering.

Every one of these has two numbers.

What it is worth working, and what it is worth faulty. Both are real, both are yours in about a minute, and both depend on the actual device rather than a best case printed on a page. That is why the number lives in the calculator and not in a table here.

Apple Watch Ultra

Ultra, Ultra 2 or Ultra 3, 49mm

Apple Watch Series

Series 11 back to Series 4, 38mm to 46mm

Apple Watch SE

SE 3, SE 2 or the original SE

Stainless steel and titanium

Priced separately from aluminium

If you are upgrading, you are not selling. You are part-paying.

The honest split is this: if you swim, cycle or hike, the Ultra's battery life changes how you use it. If you mostly want notifications and a step count, a current SE does that for a fraction of the money.

Take the payout as EpicDeals.co.za credit instead of cash and we add 12% on top. That is us paying you for not needing the money in your account today, and it costs you nothing if you were going to spend it here anyway.

The 12% is only worth taking if you were going to spend it. If you need the cash, take the cash, and we will not make the voucher hard to refuse.

What actually moves the number.

Case material, which is the biggest single factor

Stainless steel and titanium cases are worth substantially more than the aluminium version of the same watch and same generation. If you are not sure which you have, check the back of the case or the original box.

Battery health, which is brutal on a watch

A watch battery is tiny and cycles hard, so it degrades faster than a phone's. Below 80% is where it stops lasting a full day and stops being a daily watch to a buyer. Check under Settings, Battery, Battery Health.

Cellular versus GPS-only

A cellular model is worth more, even though plenty of owners never activated the feature. Look for the red dot on the digital crown, or the small text on the back.

The screen, and its scratches

A watch face takes knocks that a phone never does, because it is on your wrist near doorframes. Aluminium models use Ion-X glass, which scratches far more readily than the sapphire on the steel and titanium versions.

Things that do not disqualify it.

Every one of these lowers the offer. Not one of them ends it. Pick the matching condition, say what is wrong in the notes, and the price you are shown already accounts for it.

  • Cracked or heavily scratched screen
  • Battery that no longer lasts a day
  • Swollen battery lifting the screen away from the case
  • Digital crown stiff, gritty or not turning
  • Screen lifting or separating from the case
  • Charging intermittently or not at all
  • Will not switch on

Three ways to take the money.

Apple Watch questions.

Send the charger, it is worth something and a watch without one is harder to sell. The strap matters less unless it is a Milanese, Link Bracelet or an Ultra band, which have real value on their own. Say what you are sending in the calculator.

One minute, one number.
